Very Thrifty Treasures

I think I have to agree with Rhoda. I too am getting burned out on yard sales. Maybe because I seem to drive forever and only find a couple. I wish I would have had my camera Saturday. I ran into four ladies who all had on matching shirts that said "yard sale addict." It was funny.
I found a cute little lantern, but didn't realize the glass is missing in the front. I can still put a candle in it though.

I love this picture frame.

I really like this Anne Taylor purse, although on closer inspection the handles are a little frayed.

And last but not least, I couldn't pass up this little thingy. She makes me smile with her bunny slippers, popcorn, remote control and hair in curlers.

Be sure to check out more yard sale loot. I'm sure someone did better than me!

  1. Cute lantern! I agree about maybe getting a little burnt out! I think it's good to take a week or two between weekends or maybe alternate going to thrift stores one weekend and yard sales the next...

  2. Cute purse! You might want to try Hobby Lobby for getting a new piece of glass cut for the lantern. I've had picture frame glass cut there and it's pretty cheap.

  5. My husband and I went to yard sales 3 weeks in a row before we moved into our house and got a lot of great stuff to decorate with. Then, we got burnt out too. I haven't been in awhile but I kinda miss it.

  11. Well even though you are tiring of yard sales you did find a few bargains. The purse is nice you can fix the handles with some fray tack from Joann's it should work on the edge.
