We have a lot of fun with him and my youngest son, Hunter has gotten really attached to him. They are buddies! Speaking of Hunter, he started Karate back in February and has already advanced to an orange belt. He seems to really enjoy it.
I have a few picture from Halloween. It actually felt like Halloween this year. It was really cold, the wind was blowing the leaves all around and the moon looked really creepy. Perfect! My dad hooked up the trailer for us so we could take a hay ride trick or treating. He also rigged a siren and a Crappie light. Hahaha, he has a good time doing things like that.

Images of Fall

Weekends are for working!
I am loving this fall weather. Living in the south has made me despise summer. This cooler weather has me in a cooking mood. I got up Saturday morning and got some marinara simmering. It smelled so good. I have no idea why there is a bottle of fish seasoning in this picture. Clearly that didn’t go in the sauce. Yuck!
I have to have music when I cook. This nook is perfect for that. I really only use it for Pandora and Netflix. Who said you had to read on it? Ha!
I got to spend a few hours with my best friend. We made posters and sashes for the senior night football game this weekend. We made a few inappropriate posters as well, but I better not post those. It’s always fun spending time with a friend who has known you practically all your life.
After all the fun it was time to go home and work. We had to haul rocks, that’s always fun right?
We split a lot of wood, well maybe I shouldn’t say “we.”
Then we ran cable down to the “yard cabin.” Chuck really has that cabin decked out. It’s a great place for him and the boys to hang out. I guess some people would call it a man cave but that term makes me cringe, so it will never be uttered here again. Ha!
We wrapped up the day with a bonfire. I’m so happy the nights are finally cool enough to build one. Maybe next time I will remember the marshmallows!

I did find a recipe on Pinterest for Pumpkin spice latte. It looks so good, I can't wait to try it. A while back I bought one of those hot chocolate/latte makers at Walmart, I bet that would work really well to do the froth on top. Whenever fall rolls around I am ready for pumpkin everything!

Day 4 and Pinterest
Photo challenge day 4…LIGHT
Ok, y’all know that I love Pinterest, right? Some things I just don’t get though. Like the chandelier that is made of a water bottle and a ton of plastic spoons. Is there really anybody out there that will hang that in their house? So pins like that got me thinking about a blog that tries out pins and reviews them. How cool would that be? God bless anyone that has that much time on their hands, but I would certainly be a daily reader! I’m sure there are blogs out there like that, I haven’t really done a lot of research. I did find one though that’s pretty funny. It’s Pintester check it out!
Ikea
I finally made it to Ikea after talking about going for months. Can you believe I didn’t buy a thing? It was fun to check out the rooms that are on display, that was the best part of course. I just didn’t see anything that I couldn’t live without. To me Ikea leans more towards modern decorating, and I am so not a modern girl, ya know?
I did love all the book shelves though. This light, not so much.
Nice view…… Pour us a drink Karen. Ha! I really liked this Audrey Hepburn canvas It was only $49 bucks. It was a good size too. All of these kitchens would have been so fun to play house in as a girl. Ha! Beautiful kitchen! Looking at all these show kitchens made me want to go home, set the table, put on some Billie Holiday and cook up something good! There were plenty of beautiful drapes. Are they still called drapes? Panels? Curtains? Eye Chart light…..kinda weird. It does remind me of a story. When my husband and I were dating the job he was at required him to take an eye test. He didn’t want to spend the money on glasses that he knew he needed so he memorized the eye chart! I helped him study and everything. He passed, by the way. Little pop of color in the cabinet. I’m am much to disorganized to have glass cabinet doors. No way! I loved this little pink “room” and light. Although the light did look like a big pair of bloomers! I liked this guy in the frame, I wanted to take him home. Cute little window seat. Should’ve brought my Nook and crawled in there and read. Or watch Netflix, which is what I really do on my Nook. Shhhh……Who would want a curtain wih lips? Not me Last but not least was this odd display of “tupperware.” I guess they hang it all up so you can see what it looks like, maybe? It’s always fun to go into the city, but I’m such a bumpkin and love to get back home where I pass many a cow pasture to get to my house. MOOOOOO………
